Hi! I’m Ely, a tv/film writer, comedian, and social media witch with a plot twist background as a psychotherapist.

Before dedicating myself to writing and comedy, I spent thirteen years working as a drama/creative arts psychotherapist, specializing in working with LGBTQIA+ folks, artists, and trauma/PTSD. As both an artist and a therapist, I revel in finding commonality, laughter and relief in exploring the beauty and awfulness of being a person, mucking around in the often unspoken gritty underbelly of things. I'm also a queer mama of two spirited kiddos- so basically I’m saying I’ve lived MANY lives, and bring a lot of depth, life experience and chutzpah to all of my projects. I have writing samples I’d love to share upon request.  And while I don’t take new therapy clients anymore, I DO provide therapeutically-informed coaching for artists struggling with creative blocks, and social media coaching for artists who hate social media.
